Simple Campus Housing was founded by three individuals who experienced first hand the slow, labor-intensive processes of their universities’ residential life departments. Armed with cutting edge technical expertise and first hand experience in residential life, Simple Campus Housing aims to raise the bar in the industry.

The Founders

John Bender - President

John Bender is the president of Simple Campus Housing. As a student, he experienced a tedious and unfriendly process as he worked within residential life as an RA and wanted to create an effective solution to this dilemma. With his dedication to higher education, personal experience and access to professionals within the area of student affairs, John endeavors to create a strong partnership with universities and bring a breath of fresh air to residential life departments around the country.

Andrew Bender - Software Architecture

Andrew Bender holds a Masters Degree from the University of Wisconsin with a research focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He has been actively working in the fields of Software Development and IT for over seven years with experience ranging from enterprise web development on Microsoft's .NET platform to scientific data mining at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. At Simple Campus Housing, Andrew leads the efforts of system integration and backend software architecture.

Jordan Arentsen - User Experience

Jordan Arentsen has been working independently for over ten years as an Interface Designer and Developer with clients across the country and internationally. Jordan has experience with a wide range of frameworks and content management systems such as Ruby on Rails and Wordpress. Jordan is passionate about web standards and clean design. At Simple Campus Housing he works to provide a simple, intuitive interface creating a powerful user experience.
